PVC
coatings
Is a plastic coating or wrap, approx 0.6"(3mm) thick, used to coat exterior cabinet panel surfaces.
Epoxy or laquered surfaces are thin and scratch easily. PVC it is very durable and scratches can be buffed out.
Much thicker and stronger than "thermo foil" wraps
Traditional laminates can lift over time, especially in water use areas, and don't provide a durable gloss finish. PVC maintains it's gloss much longer than other surfaces.
Exotic Bathrooms apply the PVC coatings to water resistant MDF panels, not particleboard, and we use strong adhesives to bond to the panels.
Laminates chip on the edges where they are joined. PVC is wrapped around all exposed panel surfaces & edges in a continuous piece - no sharp edges, no chips!
